There are so many game streaming services popping up, with so many idiosyncrasies, that it’s hard to keep it all straight. In this video, James takes Linus through a tour testing GeForce Now, Google Stadia, Microsoft Project Xcloud, and Sony PlayStation Now to see which one makes the most sense...except we didn't try Shadow.

I've used Geforce Now since Beta. I have a pc but also a MacBook for work on the go. It was so easy for me to play a game on Mac and now even with a queue/being kicked because I'm cheap it is always a good experience.

Geforce now is by BY FAR the most cluttered and inconvenient of all of them. Not to mention it's the only one that can't be trusted. One day they game is there and the next day the developer pulls it. Xcloud and PS now are solid and exactly as expected with some lag for sure. Stadia is definitely the smoothest and most reliable. Also easily the fastest loading. However your basically buying a new "system" and starting a new library. For some that's ok and other not so good. Definitely turn off hdr on stadia btw. Also Stadia is gold if you want to play modern games on a shitty laptop/PC or a Mac.

I love Shadow Gaming honestly. You can play any game that you own on PC, the only draw back is the 500 GB hard drive space, but as far as playing games on it, I played Red Dead Redemption 2 ALL THE WAY THROUGH on it, and never had a problem. And I played it on my Ipad, on a LTE connection THROUGH SPRINT which is not the best mobile data service. I highly recommend Shadow, and I am disappointed they didn't compare Shadow in this video. It's 12 dollars a month, but to me it's worth it because I use it to play video games at work, and since most of my job is just chilling (I work security at night) it makes my job a thousand times better.

GeForce Now was quite possibly the worst experience of my life. I wanted to sign up for the subscription but apparently there were no spaces left, so I thought ‘Why not test out the free version first?’ I proceeded to join the queue of 645 people and wait. Six hours later there were still 300 people left... and at around 2 am it was done... only to find out that it basically runs the same as my pc with a worse connection.

I've tried GeForce Now, Stadia, OnLive(back in the day xD), and Shadow. I only kept Shadow. Shadow is a proper gaming PC experience where you can do anything, install whatever you want (as long as t works on Windows), install mods for games, etc. I also noticed less latency and general issues during my personal experiences. I know it was already discussed during a WAN show, but I think you guys should absolutely do a video on Shadow when you get the chance. GeForce Now is like PC Gaming lite. Shadow is a proper PC gamer's streaming service.

All I want for once is a video from someone that accurately talks about the pros and cons of these services without adding any bias about a certain one. So many pros of each service is skipped, and may times you can tell when the creator simply doesn't care to see the benefits of the service over the other, nor do they even talk about it. This is a fine video, but it is nowhere near as detailed and fair as it could be. For example, for GFN you didn't want to test the 120fps 720p but you were fine with doing it for PSNow even without promise of 120fps. You also didn't talk about how annoying it can be to start games on GFN because it requires you to log in to every game and sometimes forgets your information so you have to manually do it every time. It took me 10 minutes just to play Apex on it because it got stuck downloading and queuing up for another PC. It was the complete opposite of user friendly from every other streaming service, BUT it worked well. Stadia on the other hand has BY FAR the best convenience factor to it, no questions asked. You can start the service automatically by turning on the controller and it will start Stadia on the connected TV OR you can even ask google assistant to start a game from your library on a specific tv and it will turn it on and start the game faster than a console can fully turn on. You also didn't test the service on all the devices it is available on to show just how fast it can switch between them as well as the quality. It sucks correctly that you cannot use wireless on a desktop or phone at the moment, so that would have been a good point to touch on. For PSnow, it seemed like you were the most far to it when talking about the service. You touched on where you could play, played on that one area, and talked about the quality and games and how it felt. Adding all this would probably push a 30 minute video, but in my opinion it would be MUCH more of a fair showcase of each platform and their abilities. This just seems like a video pushed out just to make a video based on a current hot topic. Would have liked to seen more.

Testing 3D actions with a controller is like testing NES games with NES Power Glove. Play it properly, with a mouse, and judge the latency then. ...Okay, testing with a controller is also important, any reasonable testing requires testing both mouse+keyboard and controller input schemes.
