That's a 3 phase breaker panel you need to connect a jumper to all 3 of the top lugs and then to the black on the RV plug to the 3 way jumper then green goes on the left and white goes on the right long aluminum bus bars along the side. Your generator only puts out 120 v single phase. It will work and work fine with the jumper. And be safe. Just can't run any 240v circuits. those circuit breakers that are connected in 3s you can't use as intended anymore. U (can)... still use them but know that if you trip one circuit all three will trip now. What ever they used to hook up to also needs to be unwired. Everything that's copper should have 120v to the aluminum bus bars. Be safe

Boys just look at the back of the panels and they will tell you. You don’t have anywhere close to 1500 watts there though. Those panels are probably anywhere from 75 to 150 each so 4 panels is 300 to 600 watts but that’s a good start I mean even if your running a 1500 watt device you only run it for a short time then the panels charge the battery afterwords. Also that inverter is a modified sign wave and sensitive devises like refrigerators and computers don’t work very well on those you want to get yourself a true sign wave inverter. True sign wave inverters have come down in price dramatically the last few years so just get one. If you are using 8 panels so 800 watts maybe you should look into a lithium setup and not a large and heavy gel setup. I doubt you guys will use this thing much so I’m sure whatever you get will work.

Fellas.. DO NOT put that generator near the A/C unit.. reason is that the A/C window shaker is not sealed 100% and they do leak some air. So putting that near sleeping quarters is not smart. I get you have a bracket there.. then my suggestion is flex exhaust hose and make sure it is above the roof of the truck. If you rhino line the back side of that cab or dynomat it that will help with noise. Secondly. Get those panels on some type of swivel so you can maximize sun exposure and heat them panel quicker. Be safe have a good weekend

Probably a bit late but.. I build RV's professionally, solar power is good and most customers want it but a split charge relay is the way to go. An hour of driving will give you more power than a week of solar. So cheap to buy and install too. Also, go for as many batteries as you can because it's pointless generating a lot of power but can't save it

19 klukkustundum síðan

Here are a couple of thoughts:1) you may have a seam that has split on the top where you were locating you solar panels. Check all seams to ensure they are water tight.2) I would consider Rhyno Lining the roof area to help seal it and provide better traction.3) I would build a frame (enclosed?) for the generator and find a place underneath or between the box and the cab to install it.4) for the large access hole at the front of the box, where you thought about putting the generator, I would change out the metal cover, replace it with plexiglass and install a flat screen tv in the opening.Jeff
